You don’t need to be a resident Texan to be proud of this heritage. Whether you are born or bred on the continent or migrated here, you are American. And if there is one thing that Americans in general seem to take quite seriously, and may even be quite proud of, it is their famed homeland security. Readers here are challenged to name a country anywhere else in the world where legal gun ownership is higher and law enforcement is applied more stringently. And still the number one country in the world in terms of industrialization, technical rescue training is not something to be sniffed at either.
Proud to be an American, or you want to be an American, and many a fine Texan could probably boast about this sometimes, one of the famous legacies created is that of the Texas Ranger. And then of course, there is also Homeland Security, not to mention the CIA and FBI. Say what you want about J Edgar Hoover but really folks, this man is a legend. And then there is Walker, the Texas Ranger.
Anyone out there remember him? Never mind, Chuck, you all have to get old sometime. It could be said that rescue training programs for the worksite it can be industrial, it can be commercial or retail, it could even be in the office have been inspired by the brave and selfless work that the US state of Texas’ rangers do for the public each and every day. People over there take their safety and security so seriously, they’ve even created industrial laws that says workers must show up for rescue training at least once a year, or every other year, as the case may be.
